Tipperary’s Noel McGrath admits lining out in Croke Park is a different prospect to any other venue in the country.

McGrath has played at GAA headquarters on numerous occasions, but the Loughmore/Castleiney clubman stressed to the Tipperary Star that there is always a different feel to lining out at Croker.

Tipp came through a nervy test against a confident Laois side last weekend and will return to the Jones Road venue to face Wexford in a little over a week’s time.

“Croke Park is different than anywhere else in the country. It’s just a different place. You want to express yourself in Croke Park,” said McGrath.

“In the heat of championship in Croke Park is always hot and heavy. Laois brought aggression and a good tempo to the early part of the game. We had to get ourselves up for it.

“Look, we are after coming out in an All-Ireland quarterfinal with a win and we are looking forward to the semi-final.”
