Larry Tompkins' pub in Cork city is on the market.

Larry Tompkins' pub in Cork city is expected to sell for more than €700,000.

The 1990 All-Ireland SFC winning captain put his Lavitt's Quay sports bar up for sale earlier this month after running it for 22 years. The corner property has approximately 5,000 sq ft, trading over two levels and it includes a two-bed apartment on the third floor.

Tompkins played for his native Kildare from 1979 to '85 before throwing in his lot with Cork after a spell in the US. A brilliant centre forward, he enjoyed tremendous success with his adopted club (Castlehaven) and county, winning All-Ireland medals in 1989 and '90.

Tompkins also managed the Rebels from 1996 to 2003.
