Former Westmeath forward Lorcan Smyth has rejoined Mullingar Shamrocks from St Vincent's.

The 30-year-old transferred to the Marino men in 2016 and won two Dublin SFC medals as well as a Leinster club SFC medal. But he has now decided to return to his roots, making his comeback for Shamrocks in a 1-6 to 0-6 victory over Shandonagh in the first round of the league over the weekend.

Smyth was the scoring star of Shamrocks' 2012 Westmeath SFC triumph.
