Mayo missing a number of key players for visit of Dublin

February 21, 2018

Mayo's Cillian O'Connor

Stephen Rochford will have to plan for the visit of Dublin to Castlebar minus the services of a host of his top stars.

Sharpshooter Cillian O'Connor misses out because of suspension while Chris Barrett and Donal Vaughan are sidelined with knee and hip injuries respectively.

Keith Higgins, meanwhile, has committed his services to the county's hurlers so far this spring. The dual ace lined out at full-forward in last Sunday's Allianz HL Division 2B defeat to Derry.

According to The Irish Independent, the repeat of last year's All-Ireland SFC final could come soon for both Lee Keegan and Seamus O'Shea.

Former All-Star defender Brendan Harrison is also considered doubtful for the Connacht outfit.

On the plus side, 'Footballer of the Year' Andy Moran - who missed the defeat to Galway following the death of his father - and Tom Parsons are expected to be available to line out.

With just one win from three outings to date, the team in green and red will be eager to add to their points tally but they face a tall order on home soil this Saturday evening.
