Shane Lowry says watching Offaly demolish Sligo on Sunday was almost like supporting Dublin.

The world number 31 golfer was in Tullamore to witness the Faithful County roar to a landslide 3-17 to 0-15 Qualifier victory over the Yeats County and he told The Irish Daily Mirror:

“I don't know what it was like, it must have been like what it's like being a Dubs supporter, the match was over after 50 minutes. I didn't know what to do! I can't remember the last time I left Tullamore happy!

“It was disappointing with the hurlers, but I'd like to not dwell on the bad stuff and our footballers are still in the championship. We have a good draw and I'll be hopefully going to Portlaoise on Saturday evening.”
