“This win doesn’t necessarily mean that we are promoted. We need another point to be absolutely sure as depending on results next week it might come down to score difference.”

Following their win over Clare, Andy McEntee and Meath have one foot in Division 1 for next year.

“Every one of us, not just me, are angry and annoyed at that performance.”

Cian O’Neill wasn’t a happy camper after Kildare were almost caught on the line by Tipperary in Newbridge.

“We now get ready for Kildare next weekend. Whatever happens elsewhere is out of our control.”

Declan Bonner’s Donegal charges overturned a five-point half-time deficit against Cork to maintain their push for promotion.
