While this is a local derby and Louth will raise their game, Meath really should be winning this game without any fuss. Sunday cant come quick enough lads must be buzzing after today, they need to keep that state of mind for the weekend, we need to bate Louth off the pitch wipe the floor with them, i honestly cant see us doing else with them. Feck me, the GAA dont think at all, of the players, management set ups, never mind the mere supporter. They should have put the match on Good Friday for God's sake! The match was cancelled/postponed twice but a complete lack of respect for the players management etc. was shown, by asking them to be ready for Bank Holiday Monday. Lives are being lived outside of Football. Why not go Easter Sunday? People have work, commitments etc. If they wanted to go Saturday, why not play it Saturday evening, like 6pm. I know that I probably wont be able to go unless personal commitments arranged (on pretends of the match being Sunday afternoon) are able to be changed, but unlikely. I dont know anymore!!! Saturday at 6.00 pm is a no go because there are no floodlights in Drogheda and it would be pitch black around 7.00 pm. The bottom line is no matter what day or what time the match is on at you cannot suit or please everyone. At least it will be on LMFM for you. It wasnt dark this evening until about 8.15pm. (I posted not long after coming in from garden and getting cleaned up). I know no matter what time, day or date was fixed it wouldn't suit all, but evening throw ins are generally better than afternoons. It's just as people who are working can do so for a half day or finish an hour early etc. If your at family engagements like communicans, children birthday parties, these are normally early afternoons and if anniversaries, or more mature birthday parties, they are normally night events.
