Na Piarsaigh manager Shane O'Neill has claimed referee Colm Lyons did his side no favours in yesterday's drawn All-Ireland club SHC final.

The Limerick city side were leading by three points when Cuala were awarded a contentious 64th minute free which Sean Moran dispatched to force extra-time, while the Dublin champions were also awarded a free that David Treacy converted to secure a replay for his team.

The replay is expected to take place next weekend with O'Neill favouring Thurles over Croke Park as the venue.

"There were a lot of things I didn't think were frees. I would say he'd be extremely disappointed with his own performance," O'Neill said of the match official.

"I actually thought we were the better side and felt that if some decisions, even a couple of decisions, went our way that we would have won today. But it happens, we'll deal with it and drive on."
