Mayo's loss is London's gain following two-time All-Ireland winner Liam Irwin's decision to transfer from his home club Breaffy to North London Shamrocks.

Irwin was part of the Mayo minor side that captured the county's first All-Ireland title at that level in 28 years in 2013 and then was part of the under-21 side that captured the All-Ireland U21 title with a win over Cork in 2016.

The talented forward was part of the Mayo senior squad last year and featured during the FBD League, but he will ply his trade with the London club and the Exiles manager Ciaran Deely is sure to be picking up the phone to invite Irwin onto the county team.

Meanwhile, Moy Davitts will be without Dara Quinn this year after he transferred back to 2016 London SFC champions St Kiernan's having come home to help his club win the county IFC title last year.

One player returning to Mayo is former county panellist Brian Gallagher who played with New York for the past few years and he has rejoined his home club Claremorris.
