Adrian Enright's goal proved to be the difference as Limerick emerged victorious against Waterford in Fraher Field this evening.

Fresh from their McGrath Cup success, Billy Lee’s charges registered a 1-10 to 0-10 victory over their hosts thanks largely to Enright’s first-half three-pointer.

Three second-half points from Danny Neville were also vital for the winners who played the last 13 minutes with 14-men after Paul Maher picked up a second yellow card in the 57th minute.

Meanwhile, despite playing the majority of the contest with 14-men, Carlow overcame Wicklow in their local derby at Netwatch Cullen Park.

The Barrowiders prevailed on a scoreline of 0-11 to 0-9.

The home team lost the services of 2018 All-Star nominee Paul Broderick to a red card in the opening minute following an off-the-ball incident.
