Aaron Gillane will be rested for Limerick's home national hurling league meeting with Cork this weekend.

The Treaty County hotshot will be in action for Mary Immaculate College in Saturday afternoon's Fitzgibbon Cup final against UCC and manager John Kiely confirmed to The Limerick Leader that he'll give his in-form All Star attacker Sunday off as the All-Ireland champions welcome the Munster champions to The Gaelic Grounds.

Paddy O'Loughlin will also sit out Sunday's all-Munster Division 1A Round Three league clash with the Rebels as the Kilmallock man is set to line out for UCC in Saturday’s third-level decider.
