Limerick will open their defence of the All-Ireland SHC with a home game against Cork on Sunday, May 19th, 2019.

With the fixtures and dates for the round-robin series of next year's Munster SHC revealed today, the game that jumps out from the list is the mouth-watering meeting of the Treaty County and provincial champions Cork at the Gaelic Grounds on the third Sunday of the month.

The sides drew at Pairc Ui Chaoimh in the third round of this year’s competition on June 2nd before Limerick edged out the Leesiders after extra time in an epic All-Ireland semi-final at Croke Park on July 29th.

The 2019 Munster SHC begins the previous weekend when the Rebels host Tipperary and Waterford take on Clare.

Limerick face Na Deise in Round Three and will entertain Clare on the weekend of June 9th before completing their programme away to Tipperary the following weekend.

The would-be All-Ireland champions finished third in the inaugural round-robin Munster SHC, which meant they missed the Munster final but still progressed to the business end of the competition courtesy of a routine preliminary quarter-final victory over Carlow.
