EDDIE 1 HERE

A few suggestions - lets be positive- stop criticising players, team management and county board officials

If you want to contribute in a positive way get involved

Get behind our team, every Leitrim team wants to win.

Lets get out of Division 4- that would be a massive achievement

Herself is off the stout since yesterday and she is impossible to live with. The sooner Leitrim starts playing the sooner we can get out of the house and on the road.

Looking forward to seeing all you positives babes at the matches and reading all your positives vibes on the Hogan Stand.

Time for a wee Jameson

Cheers

Up Leitrim

And a happy new year

I do agree with getting behind the manager and his backroom team

However don't forget that Mr prenty the connacht secretary has pointed out the flaws in the current county board

Whilst allireland contenders can make the same trip as a mid table division 4 team for less than 2/3 of the cost it really is an eye opener

And I can see why the outgoing chairmans feathers are ruffled

It's an easy stroke to have a go at leitrim followers on the internet

Too easy infact

It reflects signs of panic

Especially after Mr prentys nail on the head statment on costs to new York

I do believe the last day of January is the date of ratification of all new board officials so time is on our side for the want and need of change

Good luck to Lsitrim on Sunday and their new management team.
I predict a winning start for them and a surprisingly good year for them after the travails of 2013

Look the back half of 2013 was horrible for everyone connected to Leitrim football, as the new manager says clean slate, we can have a good year criticism if constructive is fair Eddie, as regards division 4 we need to win our home games as a minimum and pick up something away and then we might have a shout if we need a win in Ruislip, I am out of London and Manchester based but know enough as to who London have even a nephew of a multi named poster here had trials.

Simple best of luck to Sean and the lads tomorrow and the weeks and months ahead.

Let's cut the bickering and get the positive energy to lead us to victory in the condemned sheep pen in may as we are well able for it if we pull together.

Good questions jimmy

The main thing to take from yesterdays game is that we won

Compared to last year's game v GMIT where we had a full panel just passed them if you recall young Kelly really put it up to the leitrim back lines in 2013

This year an experimental team easily passed them with some of our more experienced players standing out like McCrann mulligan Lowe Brennan and new comer donal wrynne

Sean Hagan gave a good after match interview to shannonside

And although mayo don't play until next Friday it looks like Galway and Sligo it are the teams tobeat

A positive start, a good win, not a great win.

Am I THE ONLY POSITIVE LEITRIM SUPPORTER. If Leitrim lost yesterday the board would be full of comments.

Well done to the team and management and I hope 2014 is winning year.

I am signing off now as it is uncomfortable as a minority of one.

I will come back on the board when Leitrim get promotion out of Division 4

UP Leitrim

@EDDIE1

I've played games where we've beaten teams by 20 or 30 points and I take nothing from it

I've been beaten by 20 or 30 points and it's disheartening

But one thing I do know since I first started playing schools mini7s and underage the best way to win a game is by a kick of a ball

Let it be a single point or 3 points it's a kick of a ball

Paul Brennan kicked our last point to insure we went 4 up

Even if GMIT got a last minute goal we still would have won by a point

Id far prefer such a win as that ar yesterday's than to win by 10 or 20 points and go out the next day and get bet because ego would have taken over

The finest example of this would be the new York game then London caught us on the hop as they did to Sligo before us and mayo 3 years ago

So as Sean Hagan said to shannonside we have the skill we just need to focus on our fitness

The last 15-20 minutes first game back after the Christmas lads were starting to slow down a bit which is expected

And when he had the likes of Shane Foley to bring in and Alan mcloughlin and Emmet mahon in the dugout it's a sign that the new manager knows what he is at

The surprise yesterday was donal wrynne as Hagan commented on it in the interview wrynnellooks to be earning his place on the team

Also the hickey brothers midfield seemed to be a good combination with the likes of Thomas Beirne on standby

To me from what I seen it seems to be a plan that alot of behind the scenes work has gone into

I hope they all keep up the good work

Thanks for the brief 94Allstar.

A very good start. Well done to Sean Hagan and co for getting the ball rolling. It is interesting to see most of last years panel available.

Another thing Sean Hagan said in his interview when asked would wynne be back to leitrim after he finishes with GMIT

Hagans reply was he can't wait to get him back to leitrim after the FBD and sigerson

And that the doors were open for new players to the panel

And that the entire panel was in competition for starting places

This is great news because down trough the years alot of lads even team mates of my own were happy enough to just make the panel and go round wearing the gear

Thats all good and well but it's about making the team and performing not getting gear
