Banana we don't all understand the big solicitor words even the trainees sometimes get the phrases mixed up

Your lack of respect for conor Beirne seems to bear a streak of bitterness or is it jealousy

I doubt you would ever lace his boots in hurling or football he is up there with the best and everybody knows it

Yes the majority of us can kick frees out of our hands and off the ground

I personally haven't missed one yet

And the list of players I named is what is expected of county standard forwards If Leitrim if we want to win anything in the next 46 1/2 years

Either get up to that level or follow Kilkenny

@ 94......id say emmett mahon is the stand out player on the list that should be called up...as for what hes done in championship hes a young lad that missed the entire of last year with injury, this year he singal handledly gave mohill a game in the group scoring nearly everything for kiltubrid....i agree with leitrim4sam he and conor beirne could cause havoc in a leitrim full forward line, with a few other lads brought in leitrim still can have a respectable year ahead

I do believe mahon didn't touch the ball in the kiltubrid v bornacoola game he missed 7 passes

Failed to bend down and pick up the ball in one instance giving away possession

The only time he touched the ball in that game was 1 placed ball an easy scorable free

K McKeon stood out a better stronger forward for kiltubrid this year

Talking up ex minor players that have disappeared is what's wrong with leitrim football

And kiltubrid could have beat mohill in the first round if gill hadnt missed a fistable point from 12 yards out that he drove wide off his left

Accuracy is something only some of us are lucky enough to be born with

94 Allstar,I would love to get your ideal Leitrim team and subs for the year ahead.

You seem to be well versed in what is happening at club level and your comments do appear to have a ring of truth about performances etc.

I know the new management will do their own thing but it would be interesting to get your views in advance.

@ joeman123 the big problem is alot of posters list off club mates and talk them up because they think they are some kind of messiah

When the truth be told they're probably unfit not training and expecting a county call up instead of earning it all because the club think they have pull with county board politicians or management

These are the same petted players that complain when the rest of is give it our all at training and tackle them hard to prove we deserve our place on the team moreso than them

AGMS are only weeks away and there will no doubt be changes feathers will be ruffled maybe in some cases plucked

The straightening out continues and after the meeting I feel alot of politicians will get a hop when they realise they no longer have club or county jobs

Then the petted players will see it's sink or swim time

Last years pannel and all the new players brought in for trials have to prove themselves to the new man. And Sean and his selectors will pick this years team.

It's the best way saintly

That means no petting and NO FAVORITES

It's also good news to hear that the sl4 are also included

Their talent ranks amongst the highest of any division 1 players

I can honestly say we don't have a forward in leitrim in any club like conor Beirne

And we don't have a half back in any club like Wayne McKeon

I've heard names and know alot of lads that done the trials and I wish them all good luck

The Observer said that Wayne McKeon and Shane Moran were at the trials, but does anyone know if the Beirnes were at them?

Were the Beirnes suppose to me there! Are carrick and Eslin players not exempt until after Connaught? That's usually the way it works!

Gortletteragh should easily have 4 on this years panel after the trials

Woods mccrann Gallagher Egan

Maybe 1 or 2 more

Time will tell

Carrick should have 8 or maybe 9

Mulvey for certain

is there anything to be said for trying Cathal McCrann out the field. it would definitely need a big look around the county for goalkeepers, i dont know is Benny Flynn mature enough for the 1 shirt on a long term basis yet.
