The reduction in capacity of St Conleth's Park, Newbridge means that a lot of Galway supporters won't get to see their team live this weekend.

Instead, they will have to watch the game on TV, or failure to do that follow the hoganstand.com live match tracker for updates on the game as tickets for the Super 8's clash against Kildare have sold out.

Due to safety reasons, St Conleth's Park can only facilitate 8,200 on Sunday afternoon. Tickets for the game went on sale through Centra and SuperValu outlets earlier in the week and were immediately snapped up.

Galway County Board assistant secretary Seamus O'Grady told the Connacht Tribune that there was no point in anyone that hadn't a ticket travelling to the game.

"The vast majority of the tickets were bought up early this week through the sponsors' outlets and we just don't have any to distribute," said O'Grady.

"The capacity is quite small, and there's little point in travelling without a ticket."
