Kilkenny boss Brian Cody has been dealt another injury headache with the news that All Star goalkeeper Eoin Murphy is awaiting the results of a knee scan after picking up a knock at the weekend.

The Irish Independent reports that Murphy was on duty for his native Glenmore when he suffered the injury and Cody is now awaiting a report on the full extent of the problem as his side prepare for their Leinster SHC opener against Dublin next month.

The Cats are already without Cillian Buckley and James Maher for the long-term while Conor Delaney recently broke his foot on club duty as Richie Hogan continues to struggle with back issues.

Mattie Kenny’s Dublin side visit Nowlan Park for their provincial opener on May 11th.
