There has been little time for the Ballyhale Shamrocks contingent in the Kilkenny squad to celebrate as they return to county training tonight (Friday).

Just five days after winning their seventh All-Ireland club title, Ballyhale Shamrocks players will be put through their paces at county training.

Last Sunday, they were a tour de force as they swept aside the challenge of Galway's St Thomas' to claim the title.

This means the likes of TJ Reid, Colin Fennelly, Joey Holden, Richie Reid, Evan Shefflin as well as Darren and Adrian Mullen join the squad.

Following last weekend’s defeat to Cork in the NHL1A play-off, Kilkenny now turn their attentions to the Leinster SHC.

The Cats begin their campaign with a home clash against Dublin on May 11th, before travelling to Carlow to take on the home side on May 19th.

They then host Galway at Nowlan Park on June 9th, before concluding their round robin phase with an eagerly awaited clash against Wexford away on June 15th.
