An under-15 premier hurling championship quarterfinal replay was abandoned last weekend after some unsavoury scenes occurred late in the game.

The match between Faythe Harriers and Fethard at Pairc Charman saw some unsavoury incidents take place during additional time at the end of the second half.

At the time, Faythe Harriers were leading by 4-11 to 0-17, but referee Dan Crosby was forced to call time on the game.

The referee’s report is now with the Coiste na nOg and both clubs have been asked to give their version of events before the proper course of action is taken.

Meanwhile, an intermediate football championship match between Clongeen and Kilmore is also to be investigated by the CCC as a mass brawl broke out following a number of earlier skirmishes.
