By all accounts Meath were beaten by the better team today, I'm surprised with supporters wanting O Rourke gone so quickly like what have Meath done in the last 20 years ?
I'm sure O Rourke did a lot of work with underage players in St.Pats over a 30 year career. Maybe it's time to face the fact that the quality of players you once had are just not there at this moment in time! Every team has to go through a transition period, living on past glories won't bring future success, putting the ground work in from the bottom up is what's needed, encourage and look after the successful Minor All Ireland champions from a few years ago.

Can he give some examples of the simulation? I think Galway were by far the better team, if fouls are committed then frees are given and Galway have two unbelievable free takers to punish teams. Bad from the All Ireland champions moaning, defend the title and take a beaten fair and square , nearly two years since Limerick were defeated be extremely proud of that!!

It's shameful in this day and age and all that went on in the past.
I remember well the respect given by Offaly hurlers in 89 when Antrim beat them they gave a guard of honour at the end of the game.

Dublin, the attitude of the players, management and style of play is the best we are likely ever to see. 5 years on the road and it hasn't been one bit rocky, exceptional team, exceptional hunger every year. Let's just hope it's close and entertaining, good luck to both teams on Sunday!!

Some effort from Offaly, played a nice brand of attacking football in contrast to Meath who at times had 13 behind the ball. Offaly had two glorious goal chances that they didn't take and some of their points were very good scores. The atmosphere in Navan seemed very nervous and the team seemed the same. Carlow up next for Meath which won't be easy either, Meath need to up the effort hugely if they think they will challenge the Dubs. As for Offaly they should get a bit of a run in qualifiers they look fit and put together well by Maughan
