judging from some of the posters here in this forum there are plenty of them in here too. Complete sheep who follow the (fake left) media and the government who take every word as they say as complete truth.

The greatest hurling shock of all time! - 5 Like(s)
Is tonights result between Westmeath and Kilkenny one of the biggest shocks of all time. Westmeath Hurling on the evidence of this will be up near the top now in a few years if they stick at it. I actually cant think of any other real hurling shocks...maybe Offaly and Kilkenny in 1980 springs to mind, but for a so called non traditional county to beat the top hurling county has never been heard of,,,not in our lifetime anyway.

If you were to say 10 years ago Westmeath would beat Kilkenny in u21 hurling would be similar to saying Luxemburg would beat new Zealand in rugby it would just be unthinkable. It just shows you the strides that have been made in Westmeath hurling in 10 years. Everyone saying Offaly hurling finished after the Westmeath drubbing but maybe did anyone think Westmeath are a fairly good team on the rise!

Westmeath Hurlers 2021 - 4 Like(s)

Replying To puglerdaly:  "Not great on the as gaeilge but thought Craig was done for grabbing by the helmet face guard ? Did well till water break in second half but extra man got us in the end. Soft goal in first half and sending off really was the difference after a fabolous 20 mins from us where I think we outscored them 11-1. McNicholas had balls to take it but surely at least hit the target. Best game from play from Niall O'Brien in a long time. If we had won it would have been hard to change the management but now it's time to regroup and reassess"
Do you really think the management should be changed again, to be fair they have redeemed themselves big time over the last month or so, winning the McDonagh, and more or less had that game last night only for certain factors thrown against them.. Maybe they should be let see next year out because the team have definitely started to play brilliantly at times, I've actually never seen them Play better. If new management go would all this foundation work be thrown out the window and the whole thing having to start from scratch again. As regards Davy Glennon I was never a fan of outside players from bigger counties playing for smaller ones but he has been a massive success and the main thing about him he really seems to love playing for westmeath, it's like hes taken westmeath to his heart and wants to improve the team unlike other players throughout that have played for weaker counties.

Duvet Or Not To Duvet, That Is The Question? - 4 Like(s)
Hoping for a big Kerry Win....it would be great for them seeing as they were robbed of 5 in a row in 1982 to rob Dublin. The smugness of Dublin is just sickening at this stage, they need to be taken down a peg or two.

We're Ready For An Inter County Transfer System. - 4 Like(s)

Replying To Galway9801:  "It struck me reading the Shane Walsh thread that GAA people are finally beginning to open up to the idea a transfer system for players. Pretty much all of the arguments used to endorse his move to kilmacaud could also apply to a move to the dubs if he so desired. (I personally think he should switch counties) If, say, a roscommon man living and working in Dublin decided to transfer why should we have the right to criticise him? You don't even have to be living there either imo. If a player feels he has a better chance of success with a nearby county, good luck to him,its his choice. Time to get things rolling imo."
JUST STOP

great to see people like you still out bud, not listening to the constant panic and fear mongering going on in this country that has it on its knees socially and economically.

In fairness it looked genuinely he was trying to pull on the ball in the race for it with Maher and put it into space, a yellow was all it deserved, no way intentional

its got nothing to with conspiracy theories or "tinfoil hats" ITS about Rural Ireland (the real ireland) and its survival. The goverment and (fake) media hate rural ireland and anywhere west of the pale. its considered a waste ground to them. Its a stain on themselves, Dublin and Dublin 4 is their country and they will always be put first. There are vast areas down the West who have nothing only their county gaa to support or their local gaa club that keeps the community going and theres always a conversation brewed up from matches be it in the local pub or with neighbours friends. its the lifeblood of Rural Ireland and if you like it or not besides the city Limerick is a very rural county and the winter is a long time in isolation with this new lockdown. Rural Ireland is taking a hammering socially, economically in every way possible always at the expence of the urban areas,

great win guys to get a result and not playing that well. i think the team can play alot better than we seen today and hoping we will see it come championship. tbf to laois i thought of the better play they were on top slightly better with teamwork and passing so westmeath grounding out a win like this is mighty. Playing in the stronger side of the division even though the beatings did stand to the team in the end massively. Derek mcnicolas still has a lot to offer, two class points when he came on.

Replying To LockLeanGayl:  "Bigger pitch suit us? Against the All-Ireland champions? Whatever you're on I'll have two of them please!! We have been awful today. Tipp took the foot off the pedal second half, yet again we tagged on four or five points when it didn't matter That's a huge score to concede in the league. Going to be a massive battle to beat Carlow with the way we are going"
westmeath hurling people need to get behind the team now and stop saying how awful they are etc. I was going on the fact on how well they seemed to play in thurles two years ago on the big pitch. Things didnt work out that way today, mistake by keeper and sending off early in the second half against possibly the strongest squad in the country with a point to prove today after a poor league opening. Westmeath are punching above their weight at the moment for the first time in over 30 years and a hiding or two will be given out along the way but its still a learning curve. i still think Carlow can be taken in the relegation final, as i think their best days are behind them and remember they were in a far easier group. The top 2 All ireland contenders are in westmeaths group along with galway and cork and a re emerging Waterford.

Fantastic for Offaly and especially Laois, two teir two teams that were in the seeded leinster championship, it will be the first leinster final meeting in any grade between the two of them since 1985 nearly 40 years ago! Westmeath wernt that far away either when you see how well Laois done after. Laois were in the final in 2013 and it only feels like yesterday, the years are flying by!

have to say i see the whole punditry panel thing on the sunday game going the same way as the soccer did. Giles, Dunphy and liam brady all got rid of and they were v entertaining to watch. im never going to watch the soccer panel again, its bland and boring. Brolly and Spillane love them or hate them are in this mold who shoot from the hip and say what they feel. RTE has gone all into this pc stuff

go blame the chinese instead, they started it...im sick of people jumping on the bandwagon blaming trump for everything, its getting boring at this stage.

maybe you should give this westmeath team abit of respect, they are a very decent team with some v good players worth their place on any team. Its not all about how bad wexford were this evening, they have gone back a bit but westmeath are improving all the time and its probably their best team since the mid 1980s
