Kilcummin look set to have to plan without inter-county forward Kevin McCarthy for their All-Ireland club IFC semi-final against Kildare side Two Mile House on Sunday.

The Gaelic Grounds in Limerick is the venue for this clash and the Kerry and Munster champions have received a blow ahead of the game.

McCarthy broke his hand during the Munster final win over Cork’s Fermoy, which was the second time he broke it last year.

His recovery has been slower than expected and Kilcummin manager Willie Maher told the Kerryman that McCarthy was a serious doubt.

“It looks like that Kevin McCarthy is definitely out,” said Maher. “That’s not talk, he broke the hand, I wouldn’t be 100% sure, but it was another break.

“I would be saying that there’s very little chance that Kevin McCarthy would be playing.”

Kilcummin have other injury concerns ahead of this weekend's game, but Maher revealed that all should be ok for the clash against the Kildare and Leinster champions.
