Lee Keegan is set to miss Mayo's Connacht senior football championship quarter-final against Galway on May 13th.

An MRI scan on Keegan following Mayo's 12-point defeat to Tyrone at the weekend has revealed the full extent of the shoulder injury the Westport man sustained following a hit from Red Hands midfielder Padraig McNulty, who received a red card for the challenge.

The 2016 Footballer of the Year's dislocated left shoulder is set to rule him out of action for at least two months.

There's more positive news for Mayo fans with regards to Cillian O'Connor, as the ace attacker is expected to be back from his hamstring injury in six weeks' time.

Both players will be a huge loss to manager Stephen Rochord this weekend as his side take on Donegal in a crucial relegation battle in Ballybofey.
