Even though we won I was very disappointed with todays performance. I reckon it was the worst we have played in the last 2 to 3 years. It seems to have taken some of the gloss off of the win. David Clifford was really the only one who showed up. He kept us in the game. Thought Adrian Spillane made a big difference when he came in. Geaney and Moran were shocking. I think the 2 of them will and should call it a day now. Sean o Shea was very quiet. No score from play. Not sure what was going on there. Paudie Clifford was not in the game at all either. Tom O Sullivan was roasted which is not like him at all.
Shane Walsh was MOTM. What a player. D Clifford will get it as he was on the winning team

Too many missed chances again. Dublin goal was a joke. Why Didnt Moran catch the throw in? And then to let a player run 70 yards without a challenge is shocking. Am baffled in relation to the 1st 10 to 15 mins of that game. What were the tactics of lobbing the high ball in? I just dont get it. That is where we lost the game. We were 5-1 down before we woke up. We certainly didn't deserve to win this game. We played a totally different game to the drawn match. And again gave Cluxton the easy kick out. I dont get it. To me the management got it all wrong this time around

Lads some of the comments on here are reckless..3 in a row had just been done. What a remarkable achievement. First of all well done dublin. They are the best around. They have raised the bar and its up to the others to catch up. The ref didnt lose this game for Mayo. They lost it themselves. For 50 mins they were just about the better team 1. Vaughans sending off. Correct call. 2 Penalty decision. Correct call. Foul took place outside the area. Player fell inside. 3. Mayo missed too many scoreable chances. Unforgiveable against a team like dublin 4. Mayo stopped pressing Cluxtons kick outs in the 2nd half. The ref did miss the o gara incident. He was lucky to stay on the pitch. Other than that I thought the ref did ok. Would give keith higgins the motm. He was outstanding.

Dont mind being beaten by the Dubs at all though if it does happen. As long as Mayo are bate out the gate beforehand I am happy.

Replying To TheHermit: "From a Meath poster: Ryan's on trimgate st is the closest to the ground and is probably your best bet as it has a great atmosphere on match day and should be packed. The central down the street is also a great pub while if you fancy walking a bit further the old beggys will be bouncing on Saturday night. Be careful of where you park as iv seen car after car after car being clamped on match day, shameful really but they see it as a money making opportunity. Depends on which way your coming but if your travelling up the m7 and then heading for edenderry and onto trim you'll be coming in the trim road and your best bet for parking will be the fair green which leaves you with a 2 minute walk through the church and onto trimgate st.
I also heard people saying there's a multi storey carpark in the town centre too.

Very disappointing to lose but have to hand it to the dubs. They alwats find a way. I thought Kerry were kicking on when they went 3 up but that mistake for the Dublin goal totally changed the game. Clifford was not his usual self today but I think that has proved that we are way too reliant on him. He is the only scoring forward we have.
Kerry played in Dublins hands and the game was played on Dublins terms. I dont know ehy Kerry didnt go man to man and just go at Dublin.
I think we would have won if we had done this.
Its a bitter pill to swallow but overall the better team on the day won.
On another note I have to question these tactics by JOC so much so that I think he may need to go. Its probably the best group of players we have had in 15 to 20 years. This year has been poor. We struggled against Cork, terrible against Mayo and very lucky against Derry.
