Kerry's Kieran Donaghy takes to the field against Kildare

Sky Sports has announced four-time All-Ireland winner Kieran Donaghy as their newest pundit this morning.

The former Kerry forward will join Peter Canavan and Senan Connell for football analysis this summer, with Jamesie O’Connor, JJ Delaney and Ollie Canning once again overseeing the hurling analysis.

The recent departures of Mayo boss James Horan and Jim McGuinness, who is managing USL soccer outfit Charlotte Independence, left a vacancy in Sky Sports' football analysis team which the '2006 Footballer of the Year' has now seemingly filled.

“This year we welcome the brilliant Kieran Donaghy to our panel,” said JD Buckley, who is Sky Ireland’s managing director.

“Kieran brings with him a wealth of experience, knowledge and pure passion. I’ve no doubt he’ll bring another dimension to our coverage.”

The broadcaster today also revealed its full schedule of GAA coverage for this coming summer, with seven hurling matches and 15 football encounters to be shown live.
