Sherlock to receive eight-week ban - report

March 22, 2018

A scuffle breaks out on the sideline between Galway and Dublin players during the NFL Division 1 clash at Pearse Stadium

Dublin forwards coach Jason Sherlock looks set to be handed an eight-week ban following an incident which took place during the All-Ireland champions' drawn league encounter against Galway last Sunday.

The Irish Daily Star reports that the CCCC has reviewed footage from the Salthill clash that appears to show Sherlock shoving Galway forward Barry McHugh, which will see the former charged with making 'physical interference with an opposing team player or team official'.

The suspension would result in the former All-Ireland winner missing the Dubs' last remaining Division 1 game against Monaghan this Sunday, as well as the competition's final against the Tribesmen on April 1st.
