Heavy rainfall in the midlands overnight has resulted in the postponement of today's O'Byrne Cup final between Westmeath and Meath.

Pitch inspections at O'Moore Park and standby venue TEG Cusack Park were due to be carried out at 9.30am, but Leinster Council decided to call off the final about 45 minutes before that time. The All-Ireland club IFC semi-final between An Ghaeltacht and Moy, which was to be the curtain-raiser in Portlaoise, has also been called off.

Confirmation of the refixture will be made tomorrow, with the weekend of February 17/18 the next available dates on the calendar. The McKenna Cup final between Tyrone and Donegal has also been put back to the same weekend.
