Aidan O'Rourke could be ratified as Roscommon's new football manager at a county board meeting on Monday night.

Interviews for the vacancy took place this week and according to local reports, the job is O'Rourke's if he wants it. The 2002 Armagh All-Ireland winning defender previously managed Louth between 2012 and '14 and was a selector with both Kildare and Down.He also managed Queen's University in this year's Sigerson Cup.

Former Sligo and Waterford boss Niall Carew and ex-Rossie forward Nigel Dineen have already ruled themselves out of the running to replace Kevin McStay, who stepped down after three years in charge on September 5 last.
