It’s all to play for in the Allianz Football Leagues as we head into the final round of games next weekend…

 

1. Niall Morgan (Tyrone)

The Red Hands ‘keeper made the scoresheet with two pointed frees in their encouraging win over Dublin at GAA HQ on Saturday night.

2. Chris Barrett (Mayo)

Barrett’s block in the 61st minute epitomised the high work-rate levels that Mayo brought to the table against Kerry.

3. Conor McGill (Meath)

McGill and his defensive team-mates limited Clare to just 1-1 from play as they moved a step closer to promotion to Division 1.

4. David Wynne (Galway)

The Roscommon forwards got little change out of Wynne & Co at Pearse Stadium.

5. Donal Vaughan (Mayo)

The experienced Vaughan put in a determined shift against the Kingdom as Mayo bounced back from two defeats in-a-row.

6. Colm Begley (Laois)

The Stradbally clubman was very much to the fore as Laois overturned a three-point half-time deficit against Offaly. 

7. Aidan Forker (Armagh)

Armagh got the win they needed against Fermanagh to ensure Division 2 survival and Forker got the scoring underway with a point.

8. Matthew Ruane (Mayo)

The find of the league for Mayo – Ruane, ably assisted by Aidan O’Shea, laid the foundations for his team’s win around the middle third of the field and his 68th minute goal was the icing on the cake.

9. Darren Hughes (Monaghan)

The Scotstown man worked tirelessly for the Farney County cause in their crucial local derby victory over Cavan.

10. Caolan Mooney (Down)

Mooney was one of the standout performers in the Mourne County's late smash and grab raid against Carlow.

11. Sean O’Shea (Kerry)

The result may not have gone his team’s way but the prodigious O’Shea, once again, underlined his talents with a superb individual display.

12. Michael Murphy (Donegal)

The talisman’s return to fitness has coincided with an upturn in fortunes for Declan Bonner’s side and the county’s supporters will be hoping for more of the same against Kildare this Sunday.

13. Mattie Donnelly (Tyrone)

The experienced Donnelly is revelling in his new role in the full-forward line and raised three white flags in the three point defeat of the Dubs.

14. Cathal McShane (Tyrone)

The same applies to McShane whose height and physical presence caused plenty of problems for the Dublin defence and he contributed 1-4 to his team’s winning tally.

15. Conor McManus (Monaghan)

Monaghan’s go-to-man sent over six points (two from play) as they eased their relegation concerns with a victory over their next door neighbours.
