Aidan O’Shea expects Mayo’s young guns to be right at home when they line-out at Croke Park to face Dublin on Saturday night.

James Horan’s men have scored victories in their first three Allianz League outings and make the trip to HQ looking to condemn the holders to as many defeats four rounds in.

O’Shea has been impressed with the performances of some of the squad’s younger contingent to date and doesn’t expect the big stage to be too much of a factor this weekend.

“A good few of them have played (in Croke Park) with Westport and stuff like that and boys have played in big games before," O'Shea told the Irish Examiner.

“There’ll be no hassle there, sometimes naivety is the best thing in the world, you know when you’re young, (you can) go out and enjoy it. They’ll be fine and whoever is lucky enough to get one of the 15 jerseys will go at it again and we’ll do our best to get the two points.”

The big Breaffy man added: “I think the young lads have brought massive energy and even the older lads coming back.

“We really wanted to set a few things straight and a disappointing year last year, we want to try get back on the right road.”
