Matty Forde - 'This Is Your Life'

Matty Forde will be feted at a ‘This Is Your Life’ style event in the Ashdown Park Hotel, Gorey tonight.
Several high-profile guests, whose identity won't be known until tonight, are expected to pay tribute to the Wexford football legend, who is still going strong for his club Kilanerin. The event isn’t a fundraiser for Matty, with any money raised going instead to three worthy causes: Gorey Hospice, the Wexford underage development squads and Kilanerin Coiste na nOg.
Forde was one of the most prolific forwards of his generation and was honoured with an All Star award in 2004. He produced arguably his greatest performance in a Wexford jersey three years earlier when scoring a remarkable 4-5 (4-3 from play) against Galway in a National League game in Tuam.
He also represented Ireland in the International Rules Series in 2004 and 2005.
