Former Roscommon footballer Ciarán Heneghan was celebrating last week when he won the top prize of €20,000 in the Club Rossie Members draw.

The former Roscommon Gaels footballer represented his county with distinction during the eighties and nineties, while he had great success with his club winning five county titles in a ten-year period.

Heneghan has also been involved in underage coaching at both club and county level where his experience has paved the way for some of the current county stars.

The draw took place at the Roscommon Races last week and overall, there was €30,000 in prizes up for grabs with Heneghan picking up the majority of that.
