Clare legend Daly to take Kilmacud post

Former Clare All-Ireland winner and Dublin hurling boss Anthony Daly is expected to take over the reins at Kilmacud Crokes.

OffTheBall's Oisin Langan tweeted tonight that Daly is set to succeed fellow Banner legend Ollie Baker at the Stillorgan club, with the latter having stepped down last week following a successful four-year tenure.

Daly, who managed Dublin for six seasons, winning a Leinster title in 2013, left his most recent role as Director of Coaching at the Limerick underage hurling academy in August - 11 months after the Treaty County had contested the All-Ireland MHC final against Tipperary.

It now seems that Clare's All-Ireland winning captain from 1995 and 1997 is on his way back to the capital where he'll no doubt be looking to break Cuala's recent stronghold on the county's senior championship competition.
