Weekend Predictions:

Intermediate Semi-Final Replay
Belturbet V Ballyhaise - Ballyhaise by 2, I see the game is fixed for Bawnboy in Templeport so expect another close physical game.

Senior Championship Relegation Playoff
Ballinagh V Mullahoran - Ballinagh, I think Mullahoran know their own fate and getting relegated to Intermediate might not be the worst thing in the world for them to rebuild.

Intermediate Championship Relegation Playoff
Denn V Killeshandra - Denn by 4, Killashandra don't deserve to be in the Intermediate Championship next year and conceding their last game in it in my opinion.

Junior Championship Semi-Final
Ballymachugh V Knockbride - Ballymachugh by 3, but don't rule out an upset.

Senior Championship Semi-Final
Cavan Gaels V Kingscourt - Cavan Gaels by 4.

Junior Championship Semi-Final
Drumalee V Shannon Gaels - Drumalee by a few points but again don't rule out an upset.

Senior Championship Semi-Final
Castlerahan V Ramor United - Ramor by 3, from what I've seen of Castlerahan this year they don't just seem to be at the level they were at in previous years.

Sean, for someone who's been off sick and away from the football scene for the last 5 weeks, you seem to know everything. Have you seen either of the Gaels or Kingscourt playing in the Championship recently?

I see Dillon in the last 3 games ad didnt see any kind of Athleticism or power. He was bang average against Killygarry in both games, and only came on against Crosserlough.

Dillon didn't play in the first game against Killygarry - I don't know what game you were at
As for the quarter final against the same opposition he was probably the best player on the field
I think all you can see is Cavan Gaels - good luck in Ulster

I have not seen enough of the other Championships to pass comment in Senior

Senior Championship
Relegation Playoff
Ballinagh V Mullahoran - Hard to see anything but a Ballinagh win unless Houdini is involved
Semi-Finals
Cavan Gaels V Kingscourt - DRAW
Castlerahan V Ramor United - The Men in Maroon to win this one

I wouldn't write Kingscourt off against the Gaels .
There's a lot of experience in both teams and clashes between the 2 have always been close.
If Kingscourt Park the bus well the Gaels could find them hard to break down.

Hard to look past the Gaels but Kingscourt have the forwards to hurt them. Barry Reilly on frees is lethal so Gaels will have to get their tackling and discipline right.
Regarding Ramor/Castlerahan, it's simple for me. If Ramor don't concede goals then they win. Wastefulness in front of the posts is the achilles heel of the boys from BJD. They have a knack of scoring goals though which they'll need this weekend.
Ballinagh look shell shocked ATM and with recent injuries look devoid of ideas. I half fancy Mullahoran an 11th hour reprieve and a first competitive win come Saturday. And in Gowna of all places.

If the weather keeps up the way its going there may be no games in breffni or anywhere the weekend, unless the great Sean O Rinn can work a miracle on the field.

Kingscourt are an average team, struggled to get past Crosserlough, and had Killygarry played anything like the first day, Kingscourt would have been out of sight. Kingscourt played 2 men back on Conor Smith, and they'll do the same on Johnston, but the Gaels have better forwards than Killygarry. Rather than push on, Killygarry sat back, but the Gaels wont sit back, they'll attack at pace.

i'll confidently say that I'd be surprised if Kingscourt kept within 10 pts of the Gaels, so ill go on record as saying the Gaels by 10 pts or more.

there is no better options, but it doesnt make Dillon an option either, majority of Intercounty Full backs would have him for breakfast.

I think it's giving to dry up by Friday for the weekend so i can't see the games in Breffni being called off at this stage. The Intermediate Semi-Final replay between Ballyhaise & Belturbet could be in trouble though as it's down to be played in Bawnboy, Templeport which isn't the greatest of pitches from what I seen off it.

Mullahoran Vs Ballinagh will certainly not be playable in Gowna I'd imagine also. If the rain continues a couple of matches even in Breffni will leave it in some mess for the teams going at it on Sunday.

Gaels have always struggled with Kingscourt going back years.
There will be no 10 points in it.
Yes I think the Gaels will win but not by 10 points. Saturday is given very windy so expect a low scoring game.
Gaels defence needs tightening up. Average Crosserlough side scored 3 goals against them.

I agree, Breffni is usually not in the start it is in now til usually October. But I'm sure the games will have to go ahead this weekend as they are behind schedule already with dates and weekends for the County finals. Also I see the Killeshandra and Denn game in the Intermediate relegation play-off is down to be played in Lacken on Saturday which might also be affected.

Did Cavan Gaels not struggle to get past Crosserlough as well ?
I don't think you go to these games at all - you take your information from Tomsmithhere or other reliable sources

I have not been in Breifni Park in 3 weeks after having surgery in the Mater but Having had a chat with Joe Prunty I think we will get the matches played despite the condition of both ends. I would say after the weekend common sense might prevail and they will close it so that these areas can be re sodded and given a chance to settle in. Not sure about the third match Sunday but it's the CCC that make the decisions where matches are played. It has held up well despite all the matches that have been played on it over the last few months.

Big difference in playing in Breffni Park on a mild night compared to Cornafean in windy, wet conditions....

I think I'm well qualified to talk given what Ive achieved in my 20 odd years playing Senior Football and representing my County.

I've also seen alot of games this year, including Kingscourt and the Gaels, so I'll stick by my 10 pt win for the Gaels.
