Yes to be honest I am pleased to see the back of the U21 championship for it has been on the cards for a very long time. He says in one sentence...... So maybe create a competition at U21 level where player's are allowed to express and play freely and see what happens even at senior level. He says a few lines later. To be honest, I doubt if Cavan or Derry would have done any worse against Dublin. perhaps it was the quick turn-around that did it. Although the style of play was undoubtedly a contributing factor. This style of play has now gone as far as it can go iMO . Although When We played Donegal they seemed to break a lot faster and were scoring from all distances and angles whereas against Dublin they couldn't hit a barn door and looked slow and ponderous. Perhaps Dublin made them look so and also put them under a lot more pressure when shooting. Anyway I have since watched the second semi-final of TG4 and it was a breath of fresh air. Kerry unlucky on a few dodgy referring calls but Galway overall much the better team. They are good footballers but some are being over hyped, and are believing the hype We are not producing game changers. We are producing robots to fit into a system of play.
