Dora, you'll be happy , James Brady left out , although I think he is deserving, given his performance all year , and in Ulster game. James Mc Enroe overlooked again , cannot for the life of me understand this . Emmet Fitzsimons should get intermediate, O Connell for Senior . Thought Enda O Connell too and Cormac Daly had a solid year . Anyway , it's a public relations exercise. Who is on selection committee? Unfortunately what could become a prestigious competition is being undermined by a public relations approach to selection. I forgot to mention Conal Sheridan this morning, deserving also. If the Co. Board want people to take this seriously they should approach it with transparency and appoint a public selection committee. A point to note also : some of the nominees for player of the year haven't been selected for the team of the year ! Bizarre and contradictory to say the least . potys were bradley, bouchier and doyle. you would have to question why doyle wasn't on the team of the year so. Usually the selectors only watch the latter stages so considering he scored 10 points in the final it's a surprise. Bouchier wasnt picked at 14 on team of the year but got player of the year. Noel McGovern was picked ahead of him on the team of the year so why isnt he intermediate player of the year. of course we all know the reasons for these decisions-lets pick as many players from as many different clubs as possible to sell a few more tickets kanu (Cavan) - Posts: 181 - 20/11/2016 16:12:38 1935575 Link

So essentially you had to play in the semi at least or you were not getting on team. Wharton in team but not even nominated for poty. To be honest I dont think players should be considered unless they make a semi.
