I'm looking forward to 2 good semis tonight. I hear Mark Mc Keever is injured and won't start for Gowna. This is a pity as he is one of the best players to play football in Cavan over the past 15 years. Gowna are a championship team and I give them a great chance against Castlerahan.
Lacey will put it up to Ramor but I think Ramor have just a bit more forward power and should prevail.
It will be a tight contest between Cornafean and Ballymahugh with both having lost county finals recently.
I hope Maggie Farrelly lets the play flow and that we have a good match.

Pitch is very wet and soft so studs required for sure.

A good evening's entertainment in KBP some fine footballers on all 4 teams. The wet pitch did not help but all was in good order thanks no doubt to Sean's work. Looking like a fine day for the Junior Final and I wish all well for what should be an exciting final. It is good to be back in the Senior Final. A very good young Ramor Team were pushed all the way by Lavey. Looking forward to meeting our neighbours on the 9th October.
I believe Castlerahan will win their first SFC .... However there will only be a kick of a ball in it either way.

A mighty fortnight's craic awaits in South East Corner of Cavan.

I have to applaud the County Board for the value last night. 10 euro for the two semi finals was great.

As for the games themselves Castletahan were much more dominant than score reflected. A lot of missed goal chances and bad wides. Much more mature. Sean Brady was excellent as was young Daly who drove well. The Kerry lad may be worth a look in at senior level. Gowna some very young players but Robbie Fitz is a fine player.

The second game was a lot tighter than score suggests with Ramor holding on at end and Lavey guilty of wayward shooting. The open goal miss by Lavey was huge. Ramors forwards are very mobile and James Brady is a class act. Cullivan dominated midfield. Ramor were dominated physically by an imposing team.

As for the final hard one to call. Ramor seem more mobile but Cadtlerahan may be older and more physical. Conditions may play a part. I going draw.

End of first half. First one save then fell to Lavey forward with keeper out of action and goal at his mercy hit the outside of post. Wouldn't say defence was superb. Looked suspect under high ball.

Ramor defence was superb last night, have conceded very little on way to final,Tierney kept scoreless thanks to Damien and James.Castlerahen is a big step up as our record against them is poor in recent years but the pleasing thing is we've won the quarter and semi without playing well and our boys will have absolutely no fear.

Castlerahan are more defensive then Ramor so be interesting to see how Ramor cope with that. Ramor defence looked shaky enough when Lavey ran at them. Shane Tierney won some good ball, but isn't really a finisher a bit like Tom Hayes. Cullivan was good at midfield.

Great goal by Jack Brady.

Wasn't at the game but listened on wearecavan. According to their 3 commentators Ramor were lucky that lavey kicked so poorly in front of goals. Hard to say Ramor defense was great. Still id like to see Ramor win it, they play a nice brand of football.

Don't believe what they say on the radio the match should have been dead and buried in the first half in favor of Ramor. It will I hope be a cracking Senior county final on the 9th

Went to both semi finals last night . castlerahan could have won by a lot more. They missed some amount of chances. Definitely will win the final . Look to have a lot more than Ramor. Ramor only played in spells. Should be a good final . Looking forward to it. Castlerahan to win by 3

Great win for Cornafean yesterday and they will be formidable in the Intermediate next year. I was impressed with their accuracy and they have a strong spine through the team. So thats the first of the winners and I have to admit that I got that wrong.
But my other 2 predictions are still in there and I am confident that Arva and Ramor will deliver as they are the 2 best teams in their respective competitions.

I'm gonna put something crazy out there...imagine if there was a Cavan manager appointed who could watch the 2 games??

So it's down to the final. Castlerahan v Ramor. There is only going to be 1 winner here . Every time we play Ramor we beat them . So I can't see that changing now . Ramor were lucky to get over lavey and have no midfield. Common the rahan

This game will not be won in midfield kinglarry it will be won from the centerhalf's position and the use of the half forwards and the wing half's. I support neither team. This game will not be dominated in the middle. It would be nice to see Castlerahan win after all that has happened over the last two months but if they do what they did in their first simi final match then Ramor will beat them easy so be forewarned.

I have a feeling weather permitting this will be one of the best finals we will have the pleasure of watching over the last ten or so years. I hope the game wins on the day.
