Replying To ramor101:  "Miller, bisto monaghan all excellent, great team scores well worked, Ramor came out strong early in second half and killed it off then, Ado Cole very good also. Ramor missed a few goal chances early in first but didnt let it affect them, badly needed win, and another result in Gowna last night with McEnroe showing very well. Look like a team pulling well together good mix of the old and new blood"
Sounds like Ramor could give the Championship a good run this year, we should be getting a few players from the successful Minor and Under 21 teams of the past few years. Best of luck to Ramor this season. Not before time we had a bit of senior success.

What have ye ever won at senior level . Won't beat us when it comes to knockout. Flop when ye meet the rahan.

I'm a Cavam Gaels supporter and from Cavan Town, but does anyone give Drumalee a chance of Intermediate glory this year? They are the only unbeaten club left in Cavan, i know it's Division 4 but you can only beat what's in front of you. A Spring League cup already and promotion from Division 4 into Division 2 next year as there's only 3 League Divisions next season. Arva are the obvious contenders with ther great showings are results in Division 1 so far, with Belturbet in my opionion a close 2nd for the title. Just asking as a i know alot of people in Drumalee. They have the experience of Intermediate titles with 2 won in the last 8/9 years. They should of won a couple of games last year in the Senior Championship. I think on their day they could beat anyone in the Intermediate ranks, in saying that it looks like the most competitive Intermediate tussle in a long time. It anyone has any views or opinions on it, please share them.

Anyone know the story with McDermott. Will he play Championship? Ballinagh look to be struggling at the moment.

As far as I'm aware, it is run on a League basis to start off. 14 teams in the Championship, each club will have a minimum of 4 games, with an open draw until the quarter final stage. Top 8 go through to the Quarter-Finals, with the Top 4 teams being seeded. Im not sure if that is exactly how it's run but it's not far of that i dont think. Can anyone confirm?

great to give clubs a few championship games but surely they could make the draw & fixtures for a few weeks to gives clubs a bit of notice!

Lacken are unbeaten aswell! I dont think anyone expected drumalee to do aswell as they are doing in division 4 so im sure they will cause an upset in the intermediate but don't think they will win it out! I'm putting my money on Ramor for senior! Having played against most of the senior teams this year they were the toughest!

Replying To Skelling:  "They're trying to get the league played and out of the way. There was no break at all for the county players with a full set of league fixtures the week after the Derry game and another two this weekend."
Laughable really....you've criticised me for my comments regarding the Co Board and club fixtures, now you're saying that its unfair that the County Players had to go straight into league fixtures after the Derry game. The blame lies with the County Board full stop, the league should have been run off earlier in the year over the weekends that Cavan are not playing.

Anyone know why they've only given out fixtures for this weekend??? They know the match ups for the next couple of weeks so surely it wouldn't be too hard to give players and supporters some advance notice of what day their match will be on for the next few weekends....

That's quite true, i am just talking about the season in general, Drumalee won every game in the Spring League also. After the awful season they had last year in the League and relegation from the Senior Championship, it is quite an achievement to be unbeaten this far into the year. Arva/Belturbet/Drumlane/Drumalee are my 4 picks to win it out. Lacken will never have a better chance of winning the Senior Championship, but i still can't see them winning it. Cornafen are my bet for the Junior title.

Junior: Everyone is backing Cornafean here. I think they will get to the semi / final but my money is going on Kill. Great young team. 3 years ago everyone was talking about Arva how they would win Junior but I tipped Kill that year and they bet Arva in a cracker of a final in Breffni. Think they will do it this year, they're after beating Shannon Gaels and Kildallon well, I think they have the footballers there that will beat any team on any given day.
Intermediate: Arva for intermediate, nothing more needs to be said.
No point talking about Belturbet, they're not good enough & Drumalee, yes fair enough they are winning every game but they are playing the lowest teams going.
Senior: Everyone is talking about Lacken not losing a game but thats the league totally different to championship, I'm gonna go with Kingscourt &

Will be interesting to see how Shane McSweeney gets on with Castlerahan in the championship.

I don't think kill will be in the running this year, especially with the junior championship format this year.
It's Cornafeans to lose, but wouldn't rule our Shannon Gaels making the final.
Mountnugent got to semi's last year but have a small squad riddled with injuries so can't see them being in last 4.
Ballymacugh will be strong

What way is the junior championship working this year?
Ballymachugh will be strong but the losing of Liam Buchanan wont be good for them.
