While consistency in the SFC over the last couple of years makes Kingscourt favorites for this years final.I believe that on their day Castlerahan are capable of beating any club in Cavan so I would say this is a real 50/50 final .Both sides are blessed with good footballers and hopefully we will get a competitive and enjoyable final.
Continued good work by Sean O'Rinn et al had KBP looking magnificent for the semis. This does not happen by accident and is a credit to all involved.

Dillon a loss for Kingscourt. He gets involved in too much niggling stuff. Castlerahan with David Wright and Sean Brady back have some good options to call from.

Championship semifinalist Killygarry & Killeshandra playing each other in the breffni league semi final this Saturday. It will be interesting to see how both teams react after the disappointment of losing at the weekend. They'll both have done a lot of training getting to the semi final so fitness wont be an issue, where their heads are at will be though.

Former Castlerahan player myself. I played in the 2011 final. The very best of luck to them. They has never won a senior championship excluding as part of the St. Marys amalgamation in 1976. The club doesn't have the strongest of GAA traditions compared to some other clubs within the county but a win would literally be historic.

The last game I played for the club was a senior semi final defeat to Kingscourt in 2012 so I know the quality they have and wouldn't begrudge a good footballing side winning either. Here's to a good final but naturally I'd happily take an ugly win over a valiant defeat for the Men in Maroon.

Yes he is the ref for the Snr county final.good appointment.Kingscourt won't have good memories of him dating back to 2012.

Kingscourt's experience combined with the brilliance of Niall Lynch will just pip this one.

Yeah it's at Ulster last I heard. They trying the infamous technicality route. Admitted his guilt by substituting him but still feel a right to get him of.

Thank you very much for the complement rahanman and I spent over six hours on it today preparing it for the minor and senior county final and Seamus with his team the stands and terracing.
Weather forecast not bad so let's hope there will be a good crowed.
Tipping a team to win for tomorrow in the senior match I have a gut feeling this will not be decided tomorrow. Having watched both teams play I expect Mackey will not have the freedom he enjoyed against Killeshandra so he will be well marshaled. With the best center half back in the county playing for Kingscourt he will not give anything away. So don't be surprised if it ends in a draw.

Well the width of the post proved me wrong. I did say Mackey would be well marshaled and my MOTM Noel McIntyre did a great job on Mackey, Alan Clarke as usual worked for the full match.
Commiseration's to Castlerahan and congratulation's to Kingscourt and I wish them well against the Down Champions in Ulster. Enjoy your night you deserved it.

Well Done Kingscourt.they showed true grit and experience to get across the line.

I have to say though i thought it was a poor county final.castlerahan will never come as close again.they seemed to lose self belief in the last 10mins.

Lets hope he stars put up a good display v Kilcoo.i presume the game will be played in kingscourt ?

Yes Kingscourt will be the venue. Not sure where the junior match is but the intermediate match is in Breffni on the 1st November.

McIntyre definitely should have got motm. Didn't give Mackey a sniff. Enda O Connell also done great marking. Cormac Daly looks a prospect.
