so he's involved already?!! you'd think with all the replay's this year, that they would have been able to buy enough fuel for the generator...

So Castlerahan have until Friday to lodge their objection with the DRA. And it seems they are going full steam ahead by all accounts. This could get very messy.

Castlerahen have decided not to go ahead with the appeal to the DRA. Confirmed last night. Their manager wished Mullahorn goodluck on twitter last night aswell

So many people on here spread rumours and lies. Castlerahan not going any further and it wasn't a diesel issue with lights but timer which the county board themselves were responsible for.

Any confirmation of when the Co. Final will be now? Presumably the Kingscourt v Ballinagh/Mullahoran semi would be fixed for the 5th, with the final on the 19th?

it doesnt matter how many games Castlerahan won or lost in this championship - had they played 10 games and won them all before the Mullahoran game i predict they still would of appealed the Mullahoran game. Every club in the county would of - lads arent training all year long to go out like that in the championship where the facilities were a major facator and the incompetence of the county board plus the blatant lies and fiddling of the video evidence of the game.so they dont proceed to the DRA so everyone move on and lets hope it doesnt happen your club next year........

A perfect evening for a match & it didn't disappoint. Mullahorn with their direct football style had two goals within the first 5 minutes & Ballinagh looked rocked. But fair play to them, they came back & showed why they won it last year. The pace, tackling & shooting was very good by the current champs. Moved the ball quick & I thought Enda Brady & Thomas Moore won serious amount of ball & caused a lot damage. Mullahorns over reliance on Enda Reilly proved to be their downfall & lack of a plan B, as when they could not get the ball to him they didn't really have enough forwards capable of causing a threat. Although in saying that if Paul the Gunners excellent run from 55 metres & shot had of hit the back of the net (which it deserved), it would of set up a serious last 10 minutes. Killian Brady was v quiet & should of got a red card for a kick at McDermot on the ground. Some strange referee decisions to say the least. Ballinagh will fancy themselves making the final now after their last few performances.

Fixed for the 12th providing Sundays semi is not a draw.

Suits Cavan Gaels so. The other teams will only have one week to prepare for a final. Especially if its Ballinagh, three games in three weeks! A semi final should never have been played before a quarter final. always gonna give one team an advantage

I thought there was suppose to be a 2 week break between semi and final? Or are we making things up as we go along?

There is no rule anywhere that states a week or 2 week break between Semi Finals and Finals. 5 Days notice for a fixture is all that is required, whether fair or not.

There might be no rule but well to respect a team at this stage of the championship I'd say they deserve 2 weeks from the quarters on between games .especially if we are expecting teams to do well in Ulster.

I hear Kingscourt have lodged an objection regarding the Referee.

Dirtybag, I think they have it on the 12th to allow for a replay. If the game went to a replay to the 19th it would still give both teams 2 weeks to prepare for Ulster. If it was played 19th and there was a replay they'd only have a week before Ulster, Short term pain for longer prep in Ulster, though I agree, there should be a longer period between knockout games...where possible.

I see Jelly has picked up the player of the week award for scoring 1-08 in the semi final, Terry could do worse than pick up the phone and invite him back to the Cavan panel for the upcoming season.
