Going to DRA which is crazy for them to bring it that far

Castlerahan won in Ulster last night, not enough time played in first period of extra time. Castlerahan have shown up the County Board and referee. Mullahoran not happy now, so would not surprise me if they went to the DRA.

Imagine Castlerahan being allowed back into the championship after losing 3 games! Crazy stuff, only in Cavan!

Where did you hear or see that Castlerahan have been granted a replay?

They didn't get granted replay.even if Ulster overturned Cavan CCC decision Mullahoran would then appeal that decision. Its a long long long way off a replay

Can we not run off a few championship games without the outcome of games going before the Ulster Council.the county team are out of the championship since the 12th July and we still haven't our quarters played.Down who went out the same weekend are playing their semis this weekend. Monaghan who played in the championship a month longer than us are also playing a semi this weekend . We need to get a serious grip on where we are going with our club football.

Talk of a replay seems ridiculous. Fact is that Mullahoran were a point behind and chasing the game at the time the lights failed, and were in possession of the ball, so if anyone could have been agrieved it was them, but they got on with it and pulled it back in the second half of extra time. Would getting back in on a technicality after 3 defeats really be something to be proud of?

you see castlerahan believe that now that they have all their players back fully fit that they are a match for anyone. when the championship the likes of Mackey,Sean Brady,Ronan Flanagan, David Wright were not available but now they are all ready to play and they are out. they can't accept the injustice of it all.

The ulster council or th DRA cannot possibly uphold this challenge otherwise the ramifications would be horrendous with the timekeeping of refs being called in to question and the beaten teams asking for replays.

Would a twenty minute delay not be the bigger issue for a team having played three games in a week? County boards fault and then blamed kids.

I agree, i think Castlerahan are making a big fuss over this to cover up their terrible showing in this years championship.

Can anyone possibly answer these questions!!! Cause on this site and else where nobody seems to be sure!!! a yes or no answer will suffice.

Is castlerahan/mullahoran going to be replayed?
Has the semi-final draw been made yet?
Could Cavan co board organise a booze up in a brewery?

No Draw made for Semi Finals as yet, A replay between Mullahoran and Castlerahan has not yet been scheduled and is unlikely. Maybe you could answer how Castlerahan appealing the result of a game is Cavan County Board's Fault. Castlerahan lost and threw the toys out of the preverbial pram!

No decision from Ulster yet? At this moment the answer is more likely no
No the semi final draw has not been made
Yes they could organise a booze up but it would be a disaster. They'd charge an arm and a leg to enter the brewery. They would have entertainment but there would be hours between each show and during the main event there would be a power cut.

Any word since? Is Mullahorn/Ballinagh going ahead this weekend?

So when the Gaels and lacken play tomorrow night we will know 3 of the 4 semifinalists. But will have to wait at least another week to discover the 4th team. What if Castlerahan get a replay? Then we will have to wait for them to play Mullahorn and then the winners of that to play Ballinagh in the last 8, so that will mean another 2 week wait for the 4th semifinalist and, at least, another 3 weeks until the semi's take place. This is turning into a bit of a joke.

So the cavan champions play Derry champions on 2nd November. This sunday is the 21st September, after the Gaels & Lacken play tomorrow night, unless its a draw after extra time we will now have 3 of the 4 semi finalists. The County board won't make the semi final draw, for fear it will be deemed unfair on mullahorn / ballinagh / maybe even castlerahan that the 3 semi finalists can view their games in the knowledge of the fore-seeable opponents. Which after the castlerahan & lights out & not enough time played debacle could lead to possibly another objection from a losing team. I don't know what is happening with castlerahan, but are they gone to the DRA ? These guys only meet once a week seemingly. If they refuse it, then mullahorn & ballinagh will go ahead on wkend of 28th. The winners of that game, according to the rule book should get 2 weeks between their 1/4 final & semi final, which brings that match up to the 12th Oct. Barring any further draws etc, 2 weeks between semi final & final, we are now up to the 26th October for the final. Assuming the final finishes that day & the winner is decided, the cavan champions are out the following wkend. Hardly ideal for them. This is of course assuming castlerahans appeal gets thrown out & they are not re-instated which could prolong the episode even more. And all this after our county team was knocked out way back on 12th July.
