Tactically inept,mc Cabe was shouting out orders swapping and switching lads and by the end no one knew where they were playing

From what I can gather this has been the problem at games all year,Shouting and roaring will only distract young lads and put them off their game. I didnt see any of their league games but felt sorry for them last night.

There seemed to be no game plan.No plan A never mind a plan B. We competed in the first half but persisted with a ball into the ofrwards that was not working but yet we kept doing it. Add to that the roaring and shouting, swapping and changes from the line and the result was dam poor.

I know we beat them well in the league but was it an experimental Armagh side. Were they cuter than us that day and sacrificed a league win to gain information on us?

I don't blame the players. There was no system. They looked totally dejected coming off the field last night.

Is Mc cabe the manager ? Was he the manager last year or was it o donohoe ?

43 minutes without a score, speaks for itself.
Hopefully not an end of era!

Is it true that the management insisted on playing Bradley (one of the best scoring forwards in the county) as a sweeper even as we were getting hammered in the second?? If so, WTF ???? That is amateurish in the extreme!!

Worst display from a Cavan team in a long long time. Weather did not help but they seemed totally disorganized. No plan,heart...
Management seemed clueless but maybe they just hadnt got the players

You give respect you get respect ! The only ones who suffered here are a group of very talented footballers.

Anyone any suggestions for next minor manager??? My own would be Gary Farrelly. And perhaps Tom Smith as selector.

they need someone who knows nothing about any of the players instead of just picking the players who where known to the county minors.alot of the team was based around virginia and st.pats. someone with experience with this age group and can bring in the players that should be there.

Bringing in an outsider may not be a bad idea?

these development squads are great but there is an obvious flaw. lads find it hard to infiltrate the panel if they weren't involved at under-16. lots of lads develop at different rates and players who are county material at under 16 may have been surpassed by late-developers at minor. however it seems that the lads who are known to the county coaches will always get preference over others who hadn't been involved at an earlier age. I think we are missing out on some good players because of this.

we have under performed for the past three years under these managers, yet the players that then went onto the under 21's.
it is clear that the Under 21 managers are getting the best from our lads whereas the minor managers are failing to do so.

I think that the best thing we can do is bring in an outsider with experience. He would have little knowledge of the players preventing any bias?

Outside managers don't work and especially at underage. What we needs us one of our own coaches, maybe Jason Reilly?
