From what I heard Castlerahan missing a lot.

It ended in a draw a fair result in the end. For future rounds I think an evening kickoff of no later than 18:00 would be prudent considering how dark it was last night in the second half

Depleted Ramor have a comfortable win over Killygarry tonight, really cruised through the game. Again ref not great for either side.

That's me finished posting predictions for the Junior Championship! Surely it's wide open after tonight. Kildallan with a top class victory over Knockbride in a must win game, brings them right back into the Championship. Kill also with a big and I must say surprising win against Templeport. Killinkere with a solid win against a good Shannan Gaels side. By my calculation, that only leaves Munterconnaught & Maghera the only two sides without any points. Some decent sides will miss out on the Quarter-Finals. A great Championship so far with the best game of the weekend still to come, Denn v Drumlane!

Attended the Ramor/Killygarry game yesterday evening. I must say I enjoyed the game. Again, the refereeing was questionable but that seems to be a trend in this championship. Brian O Connell is some talent, he was exceptional yesterday as was young Conor Smith in corner forward kicking some great scores from tight angles. I was also impressed by Ado Cole he won a lot of ball inside for Ramor. Both goalkeepers made some great saves too. Killygarry were unlucky to have Martin Reilly forced off just before half time but I don't think it would have made a difference, Ramor were in second gear with a depleted team, I wouldn't rule them out just yet. Looking forward to Kingscourt and Lacken this evening.

That's twice I've seen the word depleted when talking about Ramor, apart from James Brady and McEnroe who else was missing? Genuine question. They have a few fresh faces from other counties also. Killygarry missing 2 county panelists and lost Martin early but I wouldn't call that depleted. Best team won but Ramor already getting very hyped up

Yeah i can't recall a scoreline like that before, not even with Maghera. They must be dragging a few lads out of the local pub in order to get 15 together? Fair play to them and Maghera for keeping going anyway, it's handy for us to talk on here and from the sidelines but they have the courage to put on their jerseys and represent their clubs when times are tough.

Interesting last round of the Junior championship. By my quick maths (feel free to correct me) if Killinkere beat Knockbride and Templeport (v Corlough) and Shannon Gaels (v Maghera) post a 4 point win, then Killinkere could well face Knockbride in the QF's.

Also with Kildallan fighting for their QF spot against 2nd place Drumlane, plus 7 teams on 2 points with 4 points looking to get you close, it's set up for an exciting weekend.

I think the county board should be doing more to help struggling clubs like corlough and maghera. They seem to be left out in the cold and no one seems to be trying to help them as regards putting underage structures and quality trainers in place at underage level its sad to see such proud clubs in the doldrums

Wasn't at the game myself but very surprised to see the scoreline. Corlough have been maybe anything between 6 to 15 points worse than teams over the last couple of years. They do occasionally get a bigger trimming but that was unanticipated. Corlough also had a win against maghera in their last championship game and showed well against shannon gaels,so it came out of nowhere. Can't blame bad underage structures when maghera and corlough both do quite well at underage levels albeit in amalgamations. Corlough and maghera are two proud clubs and contribute just as much to the county board as any other team so they deserve assistance of some sort. Fair play to their players to come out every week and wear their jersey with pride despite some bad results.

The county board should prevent Magheras players playing for Ramor. Some of who actually have to drive past Magheras pitch in order to get to Virginia.

Youd want to learn the history of football in the parish of lurgan before you make ignorant comments like that. Virginia blues agreed to change name and colours to Ramor united in order to unite whole parish in 1976 (lurgan virginia & maghera). This was in full agreement with the people of maghera apart from the few families who refused to give up maghera after all was agreed. Thats their choice fair play to them .... but dont blame the families who choose to unite not divide.
