Paul Cooney from Baileboro is the new Drumalee Manager from what i'm hearing. Clubs leaving it late at this stage and that's a dangerous game to play. is Jayo staying on with the Gaels?

Why the hell would he leave and where would he go let's be honest. He had an easy job this year he may as well stay there and fill up his CV it will look good in the future ?

Only thing easy in football is talking as plenty of bluffers have found out the hard way in management. He took a dysfunctional squad and got them to pull together, work hard and buy into the overall team dynamic. That's actually the hardest thing to achieve as a manager. He's done a good job with them and any club would be delighted to have him.

seanorinn thats a wee bit disrespectful not only to jason but also the gaels players that put in a huge effort over the course of the year. its no easy job to win a double and also get to an ulster final.

Off course it's not disrespectful anyone could have won a title with the gaels team for god sake what were they up against ? once they met a quality team you saw what happened same old story.

If "anyone" could win a title with them what does that say about Joe'o connor or dominic Corrigan or anthony forde ? it kind of makes a flaw of your argument? I also think Ramor, Castlerahan and Derrygonnelly would have themselves down as decent teams.

Yeah such utter rubbish from Sean. The same group of Gaels players didn't even make it out of their championship group 12 months ago, only won 1 championship game out of 3 and were on the verge of relegation. Jason has done a fantastic job to not only win the championship but make it look easy in doing so.

It's called player power. You will admit that one of the managers through away a title by putting the best center half back for a full match marking a man out on the wing who had not even played in three months it speaks for itself. As for the other two managers?? player power they showed one of your best servants total disrespect shame isn't it. Today you have beside Jason a special man that is respected by every gaels players and fans and the end result was two titles.
If you approach a team and think you are better than all of them they bring you down to earth very fast. Attitude respect if player power don't show you this you may as well walk the dog and he might even P*** on your leg for good measure.

Thats the art of management been able to bring the players with you if you cant do that your no good to anyone which proves the point that not just "anyone" could manage the gaels to titles as you said seanorinn. Jason was able to get the players all pulling the one way and for that deserves alot of credit (but you dont seem to be giving him any of that). If the managers of castlerahan & ramor were able to do the same this year they may have put up a better showing.

Lets get it straight I am taking nothing away from Jason I congratulate him BUT there is one very important person you seem to leave out of your posts and you know who he is I don't have to name him that was responsible in a huge way for your success this year but of course really the standard is so bad at the moment in the County your club have the upper hand with weight in numbers player wise and you should if you are any good go on and win seven in a row and more. The only thing right now is complacency or Ramor get all their team injury free for right now I cannot see any other club winning the senior title I hope I am wrong.
Player power is a disgrace in any club and sadly this happened to one of your your previous managers who was responsible in a big way for a lot of the titles you won but sadly there were those in the club who had no respect for him on either side of the line don't forget. But thats neither here nor there you won good luck to you. Please acknowledge those around the managers they deserve as much praise. This applies to any club.

Seanorinn you speak about weight in numbers player wise.
Yes the Gaels might have a big panel but you will find they used less players in the championship that most of the other clubs that got to the latter stages.
Numbers don't count. It's quality not quantity that wins titles.
As an outsider you don't really know what went on at a club like the Gaels at the end of last season and the start of this season .
Your listening to hearsay, I said you said she said kinda stuff.
You have no idea whatsoever and really I suppose that's the way to keep you .
Last year Ramor set a level by winning the championship using their underage structure.
This year the Gaels surpassed that level.
next year it's up to some other club to try and attain those heights .
That's what makes a championship interesting .
Maybe you should focus on putting your energy into the rights and wrongs of your own club Killygarry and leave the Gaels to look after themselves.

I certainly am not a member of any club in the town this you may as well get used too or any club to close to the town ok.
Now every dog on the street knows what went on in your club for the last few years we will not go into this for mud slinging we don't need.

I see you say about Ramor and last year using their under age players but sadly this year injuries hindered them but I am not using this as an excuse for them being beat. I have not seen a match since the 3rd of September due to having major health issues a major operation and had to stand down as groundsman in Breifni as a result for the hours were taking their toll on me physically and mentally. I am not in a position to really make any real comments regarding the quality of the games or how other teams including yours played so I will refrain from commenting on matches even the hammering your U21 team got against Crosserlough but that neither here nor there.

I will say this I have been saying it this last three years the gaels are the best and would win the county final I got some wrong and this was even before Jason Anthony Joe & Corrigan took over You had one major problem person there during their reign but he was not there this year speaks for itself.
Negative football never wins can you imagine a team that will even continue to play lateral football when they are six points down it beggars belief. Your teams best chance of ever winning an Ulster Title was around 7 years ago maybe more 6 or 7 points up at half time and the rest is history (Discipline) . Funny the late Eamon Coleman did the same thing with Gowna strolling away with their match and then decide to defend the second half why fix it if it's not broken. I would have been happy had you won Ulster believe it or not for I have some good friends in the gaels including I might add Jason chesty Sean Niall Robert M Lyng Seannie Paul Declan Vincent Stephen so remember for them alone I would have been very happy had you won also remember I am not a bedgrudger and you were representing the county as were Shercock and Ballymachue and any genuine GAA supporter in Cavan should have been wishing all clubs the best in Ulster. You all failed next year is another. Happy Xmas and a prosperous to one and all.

seanorinn Ramor hammering by crosserlough?? 2 points is a hammering these days playing with 14 men and no bradley or patterson. Ramor underage structure killed them this year, 13 under 21s played all of senior championship went into ulster championship and then straight from that into under 21 championship and then ulster in that and straight into league. Ramor going backways. Burnout lead to 6 absentees this year from the team that beat castlerahan the year before. Gaels too strong and experienced any any team in cavan at the minute. Few years before the Ramors, Killygarrys, Crosserloughs catch up. But saying that Johnston still the difference between top team and the rest.
