Limerick and Waterford are the two teams left standing in this year’s Allianz HL Division 1…
1. Stephen O’Keeffe (Waterford)
The Deise netminder denied Galway’s Kevin Hussey a goal with a fantastic save in the 26th minute at Nowlan Park.
2. Darragh O’Connell (Dublin)
Dublin learned a lot from their league campaign and that should stand them in good stead as we head into the summer.
3. Sean Finn (Limerick)
The Liam MacCarthy Cup holders’ full-back can be happy with his individual display against Mattie Kenny’s charges.
4. Eoghan O’Donnell (Dublin)
The same can be said for O’Donnell who gave further evidence to prove that he is a defender of the highest calibre.
5. Diarmaid Byrnes (Limerick)
Byrnes fulfilled his defensive duties with the minimum of fuss and also raised five white flags at the opposite end of the field.
6. Sean Moran (Dublin)
Deployed as a sweeper by Mattie Kenny, the Cuala clubman helped to cut off the supply to the Limerick full-forward line.
7. Aidan Harte (Galway)
Galway came up short against Waterford and Harte & Co now turn their attention to the Leinster SHC.
8. Jamie Barron (Waterford)
The dynamic Barron’s work-rate was a key ingredient in his team’s winning formula and he sent over two points.
9. Cathal Mannion (Galway)
Midfielder Mannion raised four white flags in the Tribesmen’s two-point defeat at the hands of Waterford.
10. Cian Lynch (Limerick)
A moment of great skill and awareness from Carey created the opening for Seamus Flanagan to net Limerick’s goal.
11. Joe Canning (Galway)
Galway fans are breathing a sigh of relief today as it appears that Canning’s injury is not as bad as first feared.
12. Pauric Mahony (Waterford)
Mahony finished with three points to his name against Micheal Donoghue’s Galway side.
13. Danny Sutcliffe (Dublin)
Along with Eamonn Dillon, Sutcliffe contributed 0-3 to the Dublin cause.
14. Stephen Bennett (Waterford)
The full-forward took the scoring honours for Paraic Fanning’s side with a return of 1-7.
15. Graeme Mulcahy (Limerick)
Mulcahy posed plenty of questions for the Dublin defence and raised three white flags in the process.
