Dourneen to take whistle for SFC final

October 15, 2018

Cavan referee Conor Dourneen

Conor Dourneen will referee Sunday’s senior football championship final between Castlerahan and Crosserlough.

It sees the Ballinagh official take charge of his first senior county final having been the man in the middle for the intermediate decider between Ballyhaise and Arva in 2015.

The same year also saw Dourneen as an umpire for Meath’s David Goldrick during the All-Ireland SFC final between Dublin and Kerry before graduating from the Ulster GAA Referee Academy.

Set to turn 26 next month, this weekend will mark the highlight thus far in what has already been a successful career since first taking the whistle.

Best of luck to Conor and both finalists for Sunday’s club showpiece at Kingspan Breffni.
