Ronan O'Neill has departed the Tyrone football panel due to a lack of game time.

The Omagh St Enda's clubman won back-to-back Ulster SFCs with the Red Hands in 2016 and 2017 but didn't feature at all during this year's national football league.

A regular as Mickey Harte's men won the 2019 Dr McKenna Cup, his last championship start for Tyrone come way back in 2016 - against Mayo in an All-Ireland quarter-final.

The 26-year-old slipped down the pecking order as Tyrone finished their league campaign strongly after an inauspicious start and has announced that he'll focus on club football for the remainder of the calendar year.
