Following 33 years straight service, Carlow GAA PRO Tommy Murphy is to step down from the position at this Friday’s convention.

The convention will be held in Myshall and it will be the end of an era in Carlow GAA as Murphy brings the curtain down on such a lengthy service.

However, at present, there are no nominations to replace Murphy, but Joan Doyle has been nominated for the position of Irish Cultural Officer.

Meanwhile, there are no motions to be discussed at the convention, while the majority of the executive are to return unopposed.
