Disciplinary issues places a cloud over Wicklow GAA

August 15, 2018

The Wicklow IHC clash between St Patrick's and Glenealy was marred by a serious incident.

The Wicklow C.C.C are been kept busy these days as the words melee, brawl and ugly scenes have been used to describe some of their games in recent weeks.

At present, the CCC are dealing with the fall out from a clash between Rathnew and Ashford which saw a huge row take place during the game.

The meeting of Avondale and Eire Og Greystones last weekend saw the former receive two red cards and the latter being brandished three.

The CCC's cause will not be helped by the fact that there was no video evidence from the game, so the referee's report will be crucial in deciding what suspensions to hand out.

Discipline seems to be a massive issue in the county as the county board have to deal with a number of issues throughout the year.
