Clare legend Anthony Daly feels he has the right material to win trophies with new side Kilmacud Crokes.

News broke this week that Daly was set to succeed former Banner team mate Ollie Baker at the Stillorgan club and, speaking to the Irish Examiner, the two-time All-Ireland winning captain says he considers Kilmacud "a home away from home".

The ex-Dublin boss also lauded the team's achievements under Baker during his four-year tenure at the club.

"Ollie did great work there. The last two years, they probably gave Cuala their best game, so the material is there to work with," Daly stated.

"It will be a tough challenge, for sure. The standard of the Dublin championship is going up every year. I'll be giving it 110 % and it would be great if we could land some silverware."
