Former Mayo manager Stephen Rochford could become part of the Donegal backroom team according to reports.

Highland Radio has reported that Rochford is set to be announced as the latest addition to Declan Bonner’s backroom team.

Bonner is looking for a coach following Karl Lacey’s decision to step down from his role with the county and Rochford seems to be the man he wants.

Rochford managed Mayo from 2015 until August this year, but his coaching experience goes a long way back with one of the Crossmolina native’s biggest achievements being guiding Galway side Corofin to the All-Ireland club SFC title three years ago.
